Where it all started

In 2009, we moved from the UK to Bulgaria and began transforming a small former school, together with its 4,000 square metres of land, into a home filled with life and love.

Along the way, our family has grown to include many rescued and adopted companions.

Our dogs — Max, Lily, Yogi, Jessie, and Bella — spend their days exploring the beautiful Bulgarian countryside, enjoying long walks, and relaxing in cozy comfort.

Our cats — Bonnie, Clyde, Golly, Buggy, Sammy, Salem, Rizzla, and Pepper — naturally reign supreme, keeping us entertained and making sure the household runs on their terms.

We are fortunate to live off the beaten track, far from busy roads, where all our animals can roam freely and safely. For us, giving these little orphans the happy, secure lives they deserve is not only a responsibility but also one of our greatest joys.

We have sadly said goodbye to a few of our furry family members over the years thankfully, most through old age.  How I wish I had been creating pet portraits back then, so I could have immortalised them forever!

About me - a Passionate Artist with a Unique Style

Not everyone gets the chance to turn their passion into a business but I've been lucky enough to make that leap.

For most of my life, I worked the traditional 9-to-5 office job. While it provided stability, something was definitely missing. 

I came to realise that true happiness, for me, lies in creativity, and doing work that feels meaningful. So I chose to follow my heart and here we are.

Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I've lived with and loved many furry companions over the years, and I couldn’t imagine a more natural path than combining that love with my second passion: art. Whether I'm creating or simply admiring it, art brings joy, expression, and emotion into my life.

Through MyPetPastels, I have the honour of capturing the spirit and personality of your beloved pets in hand-drawn pastel portraits. It’s more than just artwork it’s a tribute to the deep bond we share with our animal family.
